This may sound strange, but once the weather started to get warmer, I got incredibly excited about Spring arriving. For those of you who don’t think Spring is that great, just think about how it makes you feel versus weather, and I think there is a very good chance you will start agreeing with me. The great thing about this time of the year is that not only do I get to see the sun everyday, but I also get to celebrate my aunt’s special day.

As a result of my aunt being important to me, I actually enjoy the fact that I get to go out and for a birthday present for her. While you may not think it would have enough choices, I live near an amazing jewelry store, so that’s exactly where I always go birthday shopping. Even though my evenings are filled with work, I always find time during at least one afternoon to go out and shop for her gift.

I usually try to keep to myself when I am shopping, but because the clerk was so sociable during my most recent shopping trip, we ended up having a conversation for at least twenty minutes. Even though I got a little bit distracted by my conversation, I eventually got back on track and started looking for a birthday gift. When I came across the set of jewelry making supplies that I eventually purchased, I knew right away that my aunt was going to love it. Since I already had a box and wrapping paper in my closet at home, it was easy to get the set of jewelry making supplies ready for my aunt’s birthday. My aunt’s birthday took place two days ago, and she was absolutely thrilled when she opened my gift.

If you were to go into the spare room in my house and take a look around, you would see that I have a lot of jewelry making supplies. In fact, once you really start looking, you might even come to the conclusion that I have an excessive amount of jewelry making supplies. However, this assumption would simply be incorrect. While I will agree that I have a lot of jewelry making supplies, it is actually not an excessive amount. The reason that I say that is because I make a lot of pieces of jewelry on a regular basis, and in order to do this, I need to have a lot of different supplies available to me. So, even though there are a ton of supplies in my spare room, they get used and replaced on a regular basis.

Since I go through a large amount of jewelry making supplies, I really like being able to save as much money on them as possible. I have bought jewelry making supplies from a lot of different places, but the source that allows me to save the most money is definitely the Internet.

What Kind of Gifts are You Shopping For?

I have always thought that shopping for holiday gifts is an enjoyable experience. The main reason that I like holiday shopping so much is because of the variety of different gifts that I get to shop for. Since everyone in my family is unique, the list of gifts that I have to shop for span across a lot of different items.

Although the fact that I have to shop for all kinds of different items means that it takes longer for me to finish all of my shopping, I really don’t mind this since the different variety of gifts keeps things interesting for me. As an example, let’s look at what I shopped for yesterday. The first thing that I bought was a jewelry making supply kit for my best friend’s daughter. They had this at a local hobby store, so it was fairly easy to find. After that, it was off to the mall to buy a couple different pieces of clothing (including a shirt, tie and hat), which were for my best friend, brother-in-law and sister. As you can see, all of the different holiday shopping definitely keeps me on my toes!

My Hobby is Turning into a Business

About six years ago, I started making my own pieces of jewelry. The reason that I started doing this is because I felt like I needed a hobby, and after trying out a couple of different common hobbies that many people enjoy, I found jewelry making and realized that it was a good match for me. Since it was a completely new hobby, I didn’t spend a ton of time making pieces of jewelry. However, this slowly changed, and I started putting more of my time towards this hobby.

Although I initially only made jewelry for myself, when I started receiving a lot of compliments about the pieces that I wore, I decided that these would also make a great gift for me to give to others. I started making pieces for others, and I was really pleased with all of the positive responses I received.

Fast forward to the present, and my jewelry has become so popular that I have started my own business of selling my jewelry online. I still have my job, but if things continue going well, I will be financially stable enough to quit my job and focus on my business full-time in less than a year.
